Lucknow: The Social Welfare Department organized a Pre-Bid Meeting-2025 on Tuesday at Bhagidari Bhawan in Gomti Nagar to discuss the RFP published by the Department for selecting organizations for the efficient operation of old age homes in the state. The program was chaired by Minister of State for Social Welfare Asim Arun. He stated that in accordance with the Chief Minister intention, we must carry out our work with expertise and honesty.
Institutions Provided Useful Suggestions
Departmental officials and representatives of social organizations participated in the meeting.
Representatives discussed in detail the guidelines, necessary standards and expectations related to the operation of old age homes. Representatives made several suggestions, including prioritizing local organizations, creating the position of counselor, providing flexibility in criteria based on experience, opening old age homes at the tehsil level and incorporating personal experiences in the evaluation.
Dignity of Senior Citizens is Paramount
Minister of State Aseem Arun stated that the government is committed to the dignity and convenience of senior citizens. The department will partner with transparent and quality organizations and implement their suggestions so that old age homes can become centers of love, security and respect. It is noteworthy that the Social Welfare Department operates old age homes with a capacity of 150 in 75 districts across the state. Several officials, including Director Kumar Prashant, Deputy Director RP Singh, Deputy Director Anand Kumar Singh were present at the meeting.
