Highlighting Mau Glorious role in the freedom Struggle, Minister Sharma said that during the 1857 uprising, several brave men from Mau and adjoining areas fought the British with extraordinary courage. Harsh Singh and Hullas Singh, residents of Duwari, were hanged by the British, While Bihari Singh managed to escape from the Clutches of the British and survived. The sacrifice and martyrdom of these brave heroes are an integral Part of Mau Glorious heritage and will continue to inspire Generations to Come.
He said that the freedom we enjoy today—to express our views, Pursue education and move forward on the Path of development—is the result of the Struggle and sacrifices of countless freedom fighters. Similarly, brave Soldiers continue to Stand Guard at the nation borders day and night. The entire nation will always remain Grateful to every Soldier and martyr Who has dedicated their life to Protecting the Country.
The Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is continuously moving forward towards development and Self-Reliance.
