Sachin Malik: Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K. Sharma on Friday Performed Prayers at the Sant Ravidas Temple in Dohrighat, Mau and formally inaugurated the renovation and construction work of the temple. Under the Urban Development Department Vandan Yojana, renovation and beautification work of the Sant Ravidas Temple is being undertaken at an estimated cost of approximately ₹1.82 crore. Once completed, the Site will be developed into a Grand and beautiful Sant Ravidas Temple and will emerge as a major centre of faith and inspiration for People Visiting the Area.
On the occasion, Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K. Sharma said that contributing to the construction and renovation of the temple of a Great saint and spiritual figure like Sant Ravidas was a matter of Great fortune for him. He said it was by the Grace of God that he had received the opportunity to contribute to the development of Sant Ravidas temple. He added that the temple would not only become a centre of faith for devotees in the future but would also serve as a medium to spread Sant Ravidas Great ideals and social message among the People.
Minister Sharma said that the State Government is continuously working to Preserve and develop the memories of saints and Great Personalities as well as religious and cultural Sites. Under the Guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, religious and Culturally Significant sites are being developed across various Parts of the State. Through the Vandan Yojana, efforts are being made to make such Places Grand, beautiful, attractive and equipped with better facilities for Devotees.
He said that through his life and teachings, Sant Ravidas Gave society the message of equality, social harmony, brotherhood and humanity. He opposed discrimination and the notions of high and low Prevailing in society, advocating equality for all human beings. The teachings of Sant Ravidas continue to inspire society to move forward together While maintaining mutual love and Harmony.
The Urban Development and Energy Minister further said that along with the construction and beautification of the temple, efforts would also be made to take Sant Ravidas thoughts and social message to People on a wider scale. He said that the development of such religious and cultural sites is an important means of connecting the Younger Generation with India Glorious traditions, culture and the teachings of its saints and great Personalities.
