Sachin Malik: Uttar Pradesh Minister for Urban Development and Energy A.K. Sharma, inaugurated the newly constructed building of the Madhuban Branch of the District Cooperative Bank Limited, Mau. Addressing the Gathering, he said that Cooperation is not merely an administrative System but one of the most effective means of empowering farmers and Strengthening the rural Economy.
Congratulating the local residents, bank management and members of the cooperative Society on the completion of the new building, the minister remarked that if Previous Governments over the last 70 Years had Paid adequate attention to Cooperative banks and Societies, Such modern infrastructure would have been developed much Earlier.
In his address, Sharma Stated that Successive Governments had neglected the Cooperative Sector, Whereas Prime Minister Narendra Modi established the country first Ministry of Cooperation with the vision of “Prosperity through Cooperation.” As a result of this initiative, cooperative institutions are now Providing farmers with low-interest loans, high-Quality Seeds, fertilizers and other essential agricultural Services. He urged farmers to embrace the spirit of collective effort and cooperation, emphasizing that even the biggest Goals can be achieved through unity. He described the newly inaugurated building as a Symbol of Successful collective endeavor. On the occasion, he also distributed Kisan Credit Cards (KCC) to farmers.
Speaking about the Ghosi Cooperative Sugar Mill, the minister said that the Government is working on both immediate and long-term Solutions. He informed that efforts are underway to arrange approximately ₹5–6 crore to ensure the Smooth functioning of the upcoming crushing Season. For the long term, coordination has been established with the Union Ministry of Cooperation to modernize the Ghosi Sugar Mill with advanced technology, aiming to transform it into one of the country leading modern Sugar Mills.
Following the Programme, Minister Sharma visited the residence of Himanshu Verma, a Young achiever from the district Who was recently Selected as a Scientist at BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre). Congratulating him on his accomplishment, Sharma wished him a bright future and said that the talent of the country Youth is the Greatest Strength in building a Developed India and a Developed Uttar Pradesh.
