Sachin Malik: With the objective of accelerating the district economic Growth and ensuring the timely delivery of benefits under various Government loan Schemes to eligible beneficiaries, a meeting of the District-Level Bankers’ Committee (DLBC) and District-Level Review Committee (DLRC) was held at the Collectorate Auditorium under the Chairmanship of the District Magistrate.

Addressing the meeting, the District Magistrate Stated that banks Play a crucial role in the economic development of the district. He instructed all bank officials to adopt a Proactive approach and Prioritize sanctioning loans to eligible beneficiaries under all Government-Sponsored Credit Schemes. He emphasized the need for timely and Quality disposal of loan applications received from various departments so that deserving applicants can benefit without unnecessary Delay.

The District Magistrate specifically directed banks to Prioritize Providing credit to women associated with Self-Help Groups (SHG) under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM). He noted that extending a loan to one SHG Strengthens the livelihood of nearly ten women and their families. Therefore, banks were instructed to expedite the disposal of SHG loan applications and avoid keeping them Pending Unnecessarily.

Reviewing the Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment Scheme, the District Magistrate directed banks to ensure timely loan disbursement to eligible applicants. He Stated that Promoting Self-employment would create new job opportunities and Strengthen the local Economy.

During the review, it was observed that the district Credit-Deposit (CD) Ratio Stood at 58.01 Percent in the Previous Quarter. Expressing dissatisfaction over the figure, the District Magistrate Pointed out that several bank branches had comparatively low CD ratios. He directed the district administration to Send letters to the Regional Managers of such banks and instructed that a meeting with all Regional Heads be organized within ten days to Prepare a detailed action Plan for improving the district CD ratio in accordance with the Standards Prescribed by the Reserve Bank of India.

While reviewing block-wise Performance, the District Magistrate directed that nodal officers be designated for each block. The Chief Development Officer, Additional District Magistrate (Finance & Revenue) and Additional District Magistrate (Administration) will serve as nodal officers to ensure regular block-wise monitoring. He also directed that the concerned Sub-Divisional Magistrates must attend future Bankers’ Committee Meetings.

The District Magistrate further instructed officials to maximize farmers’ coverage under the Crop Insurance Scheme and ensure the Prompt disposal of Pending cases under the Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneur Development Scheme and the One District One Product (ODOP) Scheme.

He also directed banks to extensively Promote financial inclusion Schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), and the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY). Banks were instructed to Provide information about these Schemes to every eligible customer visiting their Branches.

During the meeting, the District Magistrate expressed displeasure over the absence of the concerned District Coordinator and directed that the matter be brought to the notice of the State Government and the Finance Department. He also instructed that the Presence of all concerned District Coordinators be made mandatory in future Meetings.

Additionally, he directed officials to ensure the timely and Quality disposal of complaints received through the IGRS Portal and to conduct regular inspections of Aadhaar Service Centres operating across the District.

The meeting was attended by Chief Development Officer Bhal Chandra Tripathi, In-Charge District Development Officer and DRDA Project Director Neha Singh, AGM (LDO) J.S. Kalra, Deputy Commissioner Industries Pankaj Nirwan, Lead District Manager Ram Vinod Kumar, representatives of various banks and officials from the concerned Departments.
