Sachin Malik: Under the directions of the District Magistrate, a joint inspection team comprising the City Magistrate, Chief Fire Officer, District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) and Police Department officials continued its special drive to verify fire safety compliance and registration Status of coaching institutes operating in Gautam Buddh Nagar.
As Part of the campaign, 20 coaching institutes were inspected today for their registration records and fire-fighting Equipment.
The City Magistrate Stated that a thorough examination of fire safety arrangements and registration documents was carried out during the inspections. Fire safety measures were found Satisfactory in 12 Coaching institutes, while six institutes were found lacking adequate fire safety arrangements and action is being initiated against Them.
During the inspection, Om Education Coaching Centre, Sector-149, Noida, failed to Produce the mandatory registration documents and Fire No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the building. Considering these serious violations, the coaching centre was sealed with immediate Effect.
Similarly, Basu Coaching Centre, Sector-49 Noida, was also sealed immediately for operating without valid registration.
The inspection team also visited Victor Coaching Centre, Sector-49, Noida and Sai Vinayak Institute of Studies, Sector-149, Noida, both of which were found Closed during the inspection. Notices have been issued directing both institutions to appear before the District Inspector of Schools’ office within two days along with all relevant documents. Failure to Submit the required records or comply with Statutory requirements within the Stipulated Period will result in sealing action as Per the Rules.
In addition, one hotel and one Gaming zone in Sector-104 were issued warnings to rectify deficiencies in their fire Safety Arrangements.
The District Magistrate Stated that the joint enforcement drive is continuing to ensure that hotels, restaurants, Schools, colleges, coaching centres, high-rise residential societies, hospitals and other institutions across the district operate in accordance with Prescribed safety Standards and legal Requirements.
So far, 116 institutions have been issued notices for deficiencies. Out of these, 56 institutions have rectified the Shortcomings, 21 cases have been referred for legal Proceedings, while action against the remaining institutions is Still in Progress.
The District Magistrate reiterated that the campaign against institutions operating without valid registration or failing to comply with mandatory Safety Standards will continue, and Strict legal action will be taken against all Violators.
