Sachin Malik Goa: Uttar Pradesh made a Strong impression at the Machinecon GCC Summit 2026 held in Goa, Positioning itself as one of India most attractive destinations for Global Capability Centers (GCC). During the summit, the State Presented its well-developed ecosystem and Growth roadmap before GCC leaders and senior representatives from leading domestic and international Companies.
Delivering the keynote address, Alok Kumar Additional Chief Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department, said that Uttar Pradesh is witnessing an unprecedented economic transformation driven by Good Governance and rapid infrastructure development. He described the Uttar Pradesh GCC Policy 2024 as one of the most competitive Policies in the country, offering comprehensive support to companies from establishment to Expansion.
Highlighting the Policy incentives, he said that investors are eligible for up to 25% capital subsidy, operational expenditure support, land incentives, Payroll assistance and Substantial exemptions in Stamp duty. He also noted that under the State new Business Parks Policy, the Government is Collaborating with Private developers to create world-Class workspaces.
While Noida has emerged as a major hub for knowledge-based industries, Lucknow and Kanpur are rapidly developing into new technology Centers.
Talent and AI to Drive the Next Phase of Growth
Speaking during the Panel discussion titled “Talent as a Growth Lever,” Alok Kumar Principal Secretary, IT and Electronics Department, emphasized Uttar Pradesh Strong talent Ecosystem. He Stated that the State has over 8,000 higher education institutions, including Prestigious institutes such as IIT Kanpur, IIT BHU, IIIT and IIM Lucknow. Every Year, Uttar Pradesh Produces more than 200,000 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Graduates, Providing a highly Skilled workforce for Global Enterprises.
He also highlighted the State Government ₹225 crore AI Mission and the Proposed Deep-Tech Hubs at IIT Kanpur and IIIT Lucknow, which aim to Position Uttar Pradesh as a leader in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and Quantum Technologies.
Officials further underlined the Strategic advantages of the Noida International Airport at Jewar, the State extensive expressway network and the Nivesh Mitra Single-window Clearance system. They expressed confidence that with its modern infrastructure and business-friendly environment, Uttar Pradesh is well Positioned to lead India next wave of digital and technology-driven Economic Growth.
