Since then, he has played for several franchises in the league, which include Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Punjab Kings (PBKS), and Rajasthan Royals (RR). Chahal has picked up 231 wickets in 187 matches at an economy rate of 8.06.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has recently become the first pacer to take 200 wickets in IPL history. The fast bowler made his league debut for Pune Warriors in 2011, and played for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and RCB after that. Bhuvneshwar’s brilliant variations have helped him clinch the Purple Cap for two successive seasons, 2016 and 2017. Overall, he has picked up 222 wickets in the IPL in 203 matches at an economy rate of 7.69.
Sunil Narine
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) spinner Sunil Narine became the first overseas bowler to take 200 wickets in the league recently. He made his IPL debut in 2012 and has played for the same franchise since then. Sunil has picked up 206 wickets in 201 matches at an economy rate of 6.77.
Piyush Chawla
Piyush Chawla announced his retirement from professional cricket after playing his last IPL match in 2024. Chawla has featured in 192 IPL matches, and played for four franchises, including Punjab Kings (PBKS), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI).
