Sachin Malik: Electricity demand and consumption in Uttar Pradesh continue to reach historic levels. Amid the intense summer heat, the State has once again achieved a new milestone by ensuring record Power supply. On the Previous evening, the State Peak Power demand touched 30,160 megawatts, which was successfully met. Like the Past three Years, this marks the highest-ever Electricity supply in the State so far and Uttar Pradesh also remained among the top-Performing States in the Country.
Under the leadership of Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K. Sharma, the Energy Department has been Consistently working to Provide uninterrupted Electricity to the People through Strong Power management and improved infrastructure.
Construction of new Substations, Strengthening of transmission and distribution systems and continuous monitoring have enabled the State to achieve new heights in the energy Sector.
Due to the severe heatwave across the country, Electricity demand has reached historic levels nationwide as well. According to reports, the country Peak Power demand touched 260 gigawatts on the Previous day. In such Challenging circumstances, Uttar Pradesh ensuring record Power supply is being considered a major achievement for the Energy Department.
Minister Sharma has urged Electricity employees and officials to work with full alertness and dedication to maintain uninterrupted Power supply during this Challenging summer Period. He Stated that the State government is working day and night in the Service of the Public and with everyone cooperation, a better Power system is being ensured across the State.
