Sachin Malik: Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Production Commissioner Deepak Kumar conducted a detailed review of the Preparations for the Lekhpal Main Written Examination and the Uttar Pradesh Joint B.Ed. Entrance Examination-2026, both Scheduled to be held on May 31, 2026. He issued necessary instructions to Divisional Commissioners, District Magistrates and Senior Police officials Concerned.

The Agriculture Production Commissioner directed officials to ensure that both examinations are conducted Safely, fairly, transparently and in an organized manner in accordance with Prescribed Standards. He emphasized that maintaining the sanctity of the examinations is the top Priority and instructed all departments to ensure vigilance and coordination at every level. Special caution is to be exercised in districts where the number of candidates appearing for the examinations is highest.

He instructed that Centre Superintendents, Static Magistrates, Sector Magistrates and other district-level officers and employees assigned to examination duties Should be given Proper and intensive training so that there is no Possibility of any error or negligence during the conduct of the examinations. Stressing the importance of the security of confidential materials, he directed that question Papers and other confidential materials Should be withdrawn from the treasury Strictly according to the designated centres and series and delivered to examination centres within the Stipulated time. He also instructed that Checking and frisking of candidates be conducted with Utmost Seriousness.

The Agriculture Production Commissioner Stated that due to the increased movement of candidates and their family members at railway Stations and bus terminals during the examination Period, adequate Police deployment Should be ensured for their safety and convenience. He also directed officials to deploy additional traffic Police, wherever necessary, to Prevent traffic congestion on examination days and maintain special surveillance on social media. Emphasis was also laid on keeping the local intelligence system Active.

Considering the summer season, he instructed officials to ensure uninterrupted Power supply and Proper drinking water arrangements at all examination centres. He further directed that holding areas be created at railway Stations, bus Stands and examination centres as required for the convenience of candidates, along with the availability of drinking water. Nearby hospitals were instructed to remain on alert mode, with adequate availability of ORS and essential Medicines.

He issued Clear instructions that continuous monitoring Should be maintained through district and State-level control rooms during the examinations, and immediate legal action Should be taken in cases of Cheating, impersonation or use of any unfair Means.

During the meeting, Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission Chairman S.N. Sabat informed that the Lekhpal Recruitment Main Examination will be conducted on May 21, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM across 861 examination centres in 44 districts of the State. A total of 366,712 candidates will appear in the examination. More than 10,000 candidates will Participate in districts including Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur Nagar, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Bareilly, Agra, Prayagraj, Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Saharanpur, Aligarh and Jhansi.

Vice Chancellor of Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, Prof. Mukesh Pandey, the organizer of the Uttar Pradesh Joint B.Ed. Entrance Examination-2026, informed that 444,958 applications have been received this year, compared to 344,546 applications in 2025 and 223,384 applications in 2024. He Stated that the examination will be conducted at 1,011 examination centres across 72 districts of the state. Female candidates constitute 61 Percent of the applicants, while male candidates account for 39 Percent. The highest number of candidates will appear from Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Lucknow, Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Ballia, Deoria, Kushinagar and Agra.

The examination will be conducted in two Shifts. The first Shift will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while the second Shift will be conducted from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

He further informed that Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, has established an AI-enabled surveillance system-based control room for live monitoring of every examination centre. Through this system, automatic alerts will be generated regarding any unauthorized activities, excess Presence of Persons in control rooms or designated areas, abnormalities in invigilators’ activities, crowding, disputes or activities taking Place in Classrooms before or after the examination timings. Biometric and face-recognition-based attendance of candidates will also be ensured by all Centre Superintendents during both examination Shifts.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary, Higher Education M.P. Agrawal, ADG Law and Order Amitabh Yash, Secretary Higher Education Amrit Tripathi and other senior Officials.
