Sachin Malik: Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay on Tuesday held a virtual meeting with senior officials of the Higher Education Department, Directorate officials and all Regional Higher Education Officers across the state to ensure active Participation in the wide Publicity of the “Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, 2023.”
During the meeting, he instructed universities and colleges across the state to effectively conduct campaign activities. He emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, taking this campaign to every section of society is a Priority.
Minister Upadhyay stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, women empowerment has received a new direction and will continue to Progress further. As Part of the campaign running from April 10 to April 20, 2026, various awareness Programs will be organized in higher educational institutions across the state, ensuring active Participation of Students, teachers and the general Public.
He directed that “Nari Shakti Padayatras” be organized on April 15 and 16 in every Lok Sabha constituency, led by distinguished women and women from the social sector. Extensive use of banners, cards and outreach materials will be ensured. Women beneficiaries, including “Lakhpati Didis,” along with NCC and NSS volunteers, will Participate in these marches. Scooter rallies led by women will also be organized to spread awareness among the Masses.
The minister further instructed that “Nari Shakti Walls” be set up at Prominent locations and in women colleges/hostels across the state, where women can express their views and sign, along with forming human Chains to Promote the message of women empowerment. Social media will also be actively used for wide Publicity of the Campaign.
He added that Public support will be mobilized through missed call numbers and stickers, which will be used in all campaign activities such as press conferences, Padayatras and seminars.
Additionally, sand art, street Plays, Painting, folk songs and other cultural activities will be organized to create widespread awareness in society.
For the successful execution of the campaign, responsibilities have been assigned to various officials. The Secretary of the Higher Education Council will coordinate with Private universities, registrars will liaise with government and aided colleges, the Controller of Examinations will coordinate with self-financed colleges, and Regional Higher Education Officers will ensure implementation across institutions in their respective areas. The Special Secretary will oversee government Universities.
