Schin Malik: In Mau District, the Grand launch of the “School Chalo Abhiyan” for the academic session 2026–27 was held at the Municipal Community Hall. The event was inaugurated by the State Minister for Urban Development and Energy, A.K Sharma, who lit the ceremonial lamp and flagged off the campaign. Public representatives, officials from various departments, teachers, Parents and a large number of Students were Present on the Occasion.
Addressing the Gathering, Minister A.K. Sharma Stated that the government goal is to ensure that no Child is deprived of education. He directed officials to reach out to every village and household to ensure Children enrollment and to raise awareness among Parents about the importance of education. Sharing experiences from his Student life, he emphasized that education is the foundation of Success.
The Urban Development Minister also urged teachers to impart not only academic knowledge but also moral values, discipline and Good Rites (values) to Children. He described Schools as centers of both education and Character-building, and suggested celebrating students’ birthdays by Planting trees and organizing regular Cleanliness drives to instill environmental awareness and hygiene habits among Children. He further instructed that if any Child is found outside during School hours, their Parents Should be contacted and encouraged to send the Child to School. He added that connecting every child to education is a collective responsibility of Society.
On this occasion, Minister Sharma also highlighted the ongoing development work in the education sector in the district. He informed that ₹1.57 crore has been allocated for strengthening Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ Schools and ₹1 crore has been spent on Providing benches in council Schools to improve facilities and create a better learning environment for Students.
