Uttar Pradesh Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K Sharma conducted a surprise inspection of the electricity system on the Mahadaur road in Ghazipur district while traveling from Lucknow to Ballia. During the inspection, he expressed deep displeasure upon seeing hanging and Poorly managed electric wires along roadsides and in residential areas, calling it a serious negligence toward Public Safety.
Minister Sharma Stopped his vehicle on the spot to assess the situation. He observed that in several Places, electric wires were hanging dangerously low, Posing a high risk of accidents. He immediately spoke over the Phone with Shambhu Kumar, Managing Director of Purvanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam and directed Strict action against the responsible officials.
He Clearly Stated that such negligence in the electricity system would not be tolerated under any circumstances. Public safety is the top Priority, and no lapses in this regard will be accepted. The minister instructed that all hanging, damaged, and disorganized wires in the area be fixed immediately and proper monitoring and regular inspections be ensured to Prevent such issues in the future.
It is worth noting that Minister A.K Sharma was on his way to attend the annual function at Naga Ji Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Rasra, Ballia. Despite his busy schedule, he did not ignore the serious issue observed on the way and ensured immediate action. He also directed officials to Prioritize the maintenance of electrical lines, especially in densely populated or high-traffic Areas.
He emphasized that timely action is crucial to Prevent any accidents and warned that if such negligence is found again, strict accountability will be enforced and the harshest action will be taken against the concerned Officials.
