Noida: We are going to highlight a form of alleged corruption related to GST evasion. While the government frequently claims through media that it is working under a “zero tolerance” Policy against corruption, the question remains: why is this Policy failing to curb such Practices? Do officials not follow the zero-tolerance Policy or does corruption thrive due to their alleged Collusion?
I would like to bring this matter to the attention of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Why are your honest officers not focusing on regions like Ghaziabad, Noida and Mathura?
We are exposing a system of alleged corruption that cannot exist without the involvement of officials. Sleeper buses operating from Delhi are reportedly carrying goods related to GST evasion. These buses are often loaded with 5–6 feet of goods on their roofs. They travel via Noida Film City to Mathura and further across districts of Uttar Pradesh. Similarly, some routes Pass through Ghaziabad and Hapur to other Districts.
Every day, around 800 to 1000 Sleeper buses reportedly operate in this manner. Although these buses are meant for Passengers, they allegedly carry more illegal goods than Passengers, facilitating GST Evasion.
Several accidents involving such buses have already occurred in Uttar Pradesh, yet authorities appear inactive. This results in a massive loss of government revenue worth crores. Despite the appointment of numerous officials, why is there no strict action against such illegal transport?
It is worth noting that the Rajasthan government has imposed a ban on carrying goods in Sleeper buses, but why has Uttar Pradesh not implemented similar restrictions? Does this indicate Protection from influential authorities?
This issue has been reported multiple times earlier, yet no significant action has been taken so far. The government should impose an immediate ban and take strict action, otherwise, these Sleeper buses may lead to a major incident in the future.
