Ajeet Chauhan Mathura: In connection with the enrollment of Home Guard Volunteers being done by the Uttar Pradesh Police Promotion Board, Shailendra Singh, District Commandant, Home Guards, District Mathura, hereby issues information in the public interest that the entire process of enrollment has been completely transparent and supervised under the rules and guidelines laid down by the Government.
The District Commandant has clarified that there is no provision to demand any kind of money from any candidate in the name of enrollment of Home Guard soldiers. If any person, whether belonging to the Home Guard Department or unrelated, demands money by claiming to enroll in the name of an officer/employee or an influential person, it is a completely illegal, misleading and punishable offence.
He appealed to the candidates to beware of any kind of middlemen, agents, fake calls, messages or inauthentic information circulated on social media and not to fall into any temptation. Enrollment is done only on the basis of official procedure, prescribed standards and merit.
If any candidate is asked for money in the name of enrollment or any attempt at fraud is made, report it immediately to the nearest police station. Strict legal action will be taken against the persons involved in such cases under the prevailing law.
