New Delhi: The University of Delhi has announced the admission policy for postgraduate (PG) programmes for the upcoming academic session. DU will accept admissions to all two-year PG programmes across DU departments, colleges, and the Non-Collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB) only through the Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2026.
The university also made it clear that final admissions will be processed through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) once the CUET PG result is declared. The university is yet to release the detailed admission schedule.
CUET PG 2026 mandatory for DU PG admissions
To prepare the DU PG merit list, the university has confirmed that CUET PG 2026 scores will be taken into consideration. This is for all two-year postgraduate programmes offered by the university. However, for programmes that require auditions, practical exams or sports proficiency tests additional selection criteria will be applicable
Candidates appearing in the final year of graduation or those awaiting for the result are also eligible to appear for the CUET PG 2026 exam if he or she meet the required eligibility requirements. For DU PG admissions 2026, there is no upper age limit.
One-year PG courses for FYUP students
Students who have completed a Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) from the university can take admission for the one-year postgraduate programmes. Those who have a four-year undergraduate programme from other universities or states are not eligible for the one-year PG courses.
CUET PG 2026 eligibility criteria
The CUET PG 2026 registration portal is now open and candidates can submit the form till January 14. The application link available at exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/. The exam will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT). To appear for the entrance exam, candidates who belong to the Unreserved (UR), Other Backward Caste- Non Creamy Layer (OBC- NCL) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) need to have a minimum of 50 per cent marks in the qualifying degree. The Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Person with Benchmarks Disability (PwBD) category candidates need a minimum of 45 per cent marks.
