Uttar Pradesh Minister for Urban Development and Energy A.K. Sharma, on Sunday conducted a detailed and comprehensive review of various approved Schemes with departmental officials at Sangam Auditorium in Lucknow.
During the Meeting, the Minister issued Clear and Strict instructions, Stating that Executive Officers (EO) and Project Officers (PO, DUDA) who fail to prepare and Submit Detailed Project Reports (DPR) for approved Schemes within the stipulated time will face Stringent disciplinary action. He emphasized that the State government is committed to ensuring that all urban development Projects are implemented within the fixed timeline so that the Public can benefit at the earliest. Any negligence, indifference or unnecessary delay at any level will not be tolerated, he Added.
The review covered key Schemes including the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Scheme, Chief Minister Urban Creation Scheme, Vandan Scheme, Drinking Water Scheme, Kanha Gaushala Scheme, Upvan Scheme, and Ideal Municipality Scheme, among others. A scheme-wise assessment was conducted, focusing on the current Status of approved Projects, Progress in DPR preparation, financial approvals, Commencement of work and Completion Timelines.
The Minister directed all EO and PO (DUDA) to Prioritize Pending DPR and Submit them to the government Promptly, enabling the early Start of approved Projects. He also Stressed the importance of ensuring quality, transparency and accountability in Implementation.
Sharma further instructed officials to regularly monitor all Projects and address any obstacles without delay. He also called for reviewing on-ground Progress and Collecting feedback from the Public to Enhance the effectiveness of Schemes.
Highlighting that urban development is among the top Priorities of the State government, he said efforts are being made to strengthen basic infrastructure in cities. He urged all officials to discharge their responsibilities with full dedication and Accountability.
Principal Secretary P. Guru Prasad, Secretary Ravindra Kumar, Special Secretary Satya Prakash Patel and other concerned officials were Present at the Meeting.
