New Delhi :Two Delhi University colleges, Ramjas College in North Campus and Desh Bandhu College in Kalkaji, received bomb threat emails on Wednesday morning, Delhi Police said.
The bomb squad and police teams were immediately deployed to both campuses. So far, no suspicious objects have been found, officials added.
Earlier in November, two schools and three courts in Delhi received bomb threat emails; however, upon inspection, nothing suspicious was found.
In July, bomb threats were also reported at St Stephen’s College and St Thomas School in Dwarka, just a day after three other schools in the capital received similar hoax emails.
On 17 July alone, at least seven schools were issued a bomb threat, however the threat was found to be hoax.
Police later traced one of the threat emails to a 12-year-old boy from south Delhi, who had sent it as a prank. The boy was questioned, counselled, and then released.
Although all previous threats were eventually found to be false, the repeated incidents have raised concerns among parents and school authorities.
