New Delhi: The Sanatan Hindu Ekta Padyatra reached its final leg on Saturday, concluding a 10-day march that began on November 7 and travelled through three states. The yatra will halt at Vrindavan’s Char Dham, where the closing ceremony is scheduled.
From early morning, lakhs of devotees have been joining the concluding day of the march, which was carried out with seven core resolutions, including calls for Hindu unity and the vision of India as a ‘Hindu Rashtra’.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, former BJP state president and MP BD Sharma and many senior leaders are expected to walk alongside Dhirendra Shastri today.
Grand concluding ceremony
The valedictory programme began at 9 am at Vrindavan’s Char Dham. Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Ji Maharaj, Malook Peethadhishwar Ji, Indresh Upadhyay Ji, Devkinandan Ji and many saints from the Braj region will attend the concluding session.
The Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, along with cabinet ministers from UP, MP, Haryana and Delhi, is also likely to participate. Film actor Govind Namdev, along with several prominent personalities from across the country, may join the event as special guests.
Actor Sanjay Dutt is also likely to participate again to motivate the saints and devotees. Film celebrities such as Rajpal Yadav, singer B Praak, Jubin Nautiyal and other artists are expected to be present as well. After the concluding ceremony, all devotees will proceed on foot to visit the Banke Bihari Temple.
As the 10th and final day begins, Vrindavan prepares to host the historic culmination of the massive padyatra.
