Following the instructions of Ghaziabad Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik, the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation has installed gas heaters in both Permanent and temporary Night Shelters Keeping in Mind the rising cold. As the cold wave has intensified, the Municipal Corporation is in alert Mode. Necessary arrangements have been made in night Shelters to Protect people from the cold, and as a new initiative, gas heaters have been installed for the destitute, which has provided relief to those staying there. Earlier, the concerned department had arranged electric heaters in all Shelters and subsequently, on the instructions of the Municipal Commissioner, Gas heaters were also installed in all Shelters.
In-charge of the Nazarat Department, Dr. Anuj, Stated that the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation has installed gas heaters in shelters for the needy.
These heaters operate on LPG gas, help maintain warmth inside the Shelters and do not cause Pollution. Along with increasing the number of beds, the Municipal Corporation is also installing gas heaters in Shelters for Protection from the cold, Which has been appreciated by the Residents.
The Municipal Commissioner further informed that arrangements for accommodation in Shelters have been expanded, including an increase in the number of beds and Platforms. Zonal in-charges and their teams are inspecting the facilities in all Shelters Daily. The Municipal Corporation is ensuring timely Provision of basic amenities and more than 25 gas heaters have been installed in shelters to Protect the Destitute from the Cold.
