Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that his retirement from the sport will come “soon,” in an emotional interview reflecting on his four-decade career. The 40-year-old star said he expects the moment to be “very difficult” and admits he will likely cry when it arrives.
Preparing for life after football
Ronaldo said he has been planning his future since his mid-twenties, focusing on family, business ventures, and mentoring his children, including Cristiano Jr. He noted that nothing will replace the adrenaline of scoring a goal but expressed excitement about new passions like padel and philanthropy.
Message to fans
Still under contract with Saudi club Al Nassr until 2027, Ronaldo said he continues to love Manchester United and hopes the club rebuilds under manager Ruben Amorim, though he cautioned that “miracles take time.”
