Sachin Malik: Chief Minister has approved a financial sanction of ₹171 crore for various development works across different Assembly constituencies of the state. The approved funds will be utilized for road construction, strengthening of power projects, construction of the Champawat City Center, renovation of guest houses, and improving traffic management.
Under the State Plan, the Chief Minister approved the following projects:
- ₹3.35 crore for the construction of the Satratwe–Sigi Nargol–Girechhina Milan Motor Road in Bageshwar block of .
- ₹3.75 crore for improvement work on the Kalimath–Kotma–Jal–Chaumasi Motor Road in the Kedarnath Assembly constituency of .
- ₹4.27 crore for construction of the Paiyagarhi Rajboun Malla Diyod Motor Road near Kotdisain in the Rikhnikhal block of the Lansdowne Assembly constituency in .
For the Lohaghat Assembly constituency in , the Chief Minister approved:
- ₹12.15 crore for hotmix work on the Kimtoli–Raushal Motor Road.
- ₹62.33 crore for the construction of a modern multi-storey parking facility and shopping complex (City Center Champawat) at the Champawat Roadways Station.
The Chief Minister also approved ₹50.25 crore under Grant No. 21 for the ongoing financial year 2025-26 for the construction of the .
Additionally, approval has been granted for ₹1.60 crore for renovation (civil and electrical works) of 12 rooms on the second floor of Uttarakhand Sadan in , which is under the control of the State Property Department.
To address traffic and transportation issues in , the Chief Minister approved ₹33.45 crore for six different projects.
Approval for Democracy Fighter Honor Pension
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami approved a Democracy Fighter Honor Pension of ₹20,000 per month for Suman Jain, wife of Late Mahavir Prasad, resident of Model Colony, Rudrapur in , with effect from June 27, 2025.
Roads to be Named After Martyrs and Freedom Fighters
The Chief Minister also approved naming several motor roads after martyrs and freedom fighters:
- The Kunigad–Hiruli Bazaar to Rampur–Chaukhutiya Motor Road (4 km) in will be named after Martyr Subedar Bhawani Dutt Joshi (Sena Medal).
- The Lwani–Suya Motor Road in will be named after freedom fighter Late Khim Singh.
- The road from Gopeshwar Mandal to village Gwadh in the Badrinath Assembly constituency will be named after freedom fighter Late Mehrban Singh Rawat.
- The Nainisain–Kalusain–Amsaund (Seragad) Motor Road in the Karnaprayag Assembly constituency will be named after Uttarakhand statehood activist Late Tularam Thapliyal.
Approval for 5th Digital Empowerment Meet & Awards – Uttarakhand Chapter
The Chief Minister has also approved the organization of the 5th Digital Empowerment Meet & Awards – Uttarakhand Chapter, proposed to be held on March 23–24, 2026 in .
The event will be organized by and will focus on the theme “Uttarakhand Digital Transformation through AI – Towards Developed India 2047.”
