NEW DELHI : Candidates seeking postgraduate medical seats through NEET PG 2026 have until today, October 21, to complete their Round 1 counselling registration.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has set separate deadlines for registration and fee payment, so candidates should not wait until the last minute to complete the process.
The counselling covers 50 per cent of All India Quota seats, along with seats in central and deemed universities and other institutions covered by the MCC process. Candidates who have qualified NEET PG 2026 and meet the eligibility requirements can register through the official website, mcc.nic.in.
The schedule is tentative, and candidates should check the MCC website for any revised notices.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR NEET PG COUNSELLING
Candidates can follow these steps to complete their registration:
- Visit the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in.
- Open the PG Medical Counselling section and select the NEET PG 2026 registration link.
- Enter the required details and complete the registration process.
- Pay the prescribed counselling fee within the payment deadline.
- Log in to fill in preferred colleges and courses, then lock the choices within the specified window.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER REGISTRATION?
Once choices are submitted, MCC will process seat allotments based on candidates’ choices, merit and applicable counselling rules. The Round 1 result is scheduled for October 24.
Candidates who receive a seat must report to their allotted institute between October 26 and November 2 and complete admission formalities. They should keep their documents ready and regularly check the MCC portal for updates, particularly as the choice-filling process has been subject to a resumption notice.
