Gopal Thakur Mathura: Kotwali Police in Mathura have arrested two accused in connection with a mobile Phone Snatching case. Police recovered the Stolen White-coloured LAVA Android mobile Phone from their Possession along with ₹600 in cash found during their Personal Search.
According to the Police, a mobile Phone was Snatched from a Person Who was selling ice cream from a cart on the night of August 5, 2026. A case was registered at Kotwali Police Station under FIR No. 568/2026, Section 304(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The action was carried out as Part of the campaign launched under the direction of the Senior Superintendent of Police, Mathura, against crime and criminals. The Police team acted under the supervision of the Additional Superintendent of Police (City) and Assistant Superintendent of Police/Circle Officer (City) and under the leadership of the Kotwali Police Station Inspector.
Acting on information received from an informer, the Police arrested both accused at around 1:10 AM on August 10, 2026, near a tea Stall in front of Moti Manzil.
The arrested accused have been identified as Chandravir alias Kanha, son of Ratiram, a resident of Hansraj Colony, Highway Police Station area, Mathura, aged around 20 Years and Hasim, son of Kallu, a resident of Jyoti Nagar, BSA Road, Kotwali Police Station area, Mathura, aged around 19 Years.
Stolen Mobile Phone Recovered
Police recovered the white LAVA Android mobile Phone allegedly Snatched in the case from the accused. In addition, ₹600 in cash was recovered during their Personal Search.
Following the recovery, Section 317(2) of the BNS was added to the existing case.
Criminal History
According to the Police, both arrested accused are currently named in FIR No. 568/2026 under Sections 304(2)/317(2) BNS, registered at Kotwali Police Station, Mathura.
Further legal Proceedings against both accused are underway.
