Gopal Thakur Mathura: Kotwali Police have arrested a man in connection with a theft case involving the breaking of a Shop Shutter. Police recovered eight cans of ENI engine oil, a vehicle self-Starter and ₹800 in cash from his Possession.
According to Police, a Shop was burgled after its Shutter was broken on the morning of August 2, 2026. A case was subsequently registered at Kotwali Police Station, following which Police teams began searching for the accused.
Arrest Made on Tip-Off
Police said that acting on a tip-off from an informer, a team arrested the accused at around 11:50 pm on August 9 from the roadside near the Alwar-Bajna railway bridge.
The arrested accused has been identified as Dinesh, son of Bidha, a resident of Naogaon under Chhata police station in Mathura. The Stolen items were recovered from his Possession.
13 Criminal Cases Registered Against Accused
According to Police, the accused has a criminal history. As many as 13 cases have Previously been registered against him under various sections, including theft, murder, Gangster Act, NDPS Act and Arms Act.
Police Team Involved in Arrest
The Police team involved in the arrest and recovery included Inspector-in-Charge Vinod Babu Mishra, Sub-Inspectors Sanjeev Kumar and Mushtaq Mehdi, Head Constable Lokman and Constable Dheeraj Singh.
