NEW DELHI : Sai Pallavi made headlines when she had confirmed that she rejected a fairness cream advertisement worth Rs 2 crore. Unlike many actors who build their earnings through multiple brand associations, Sai chose not to endorse a product that she felt did not align with her beliefs about beauty standards. It remains one of the most discussed choices of her career.
Sai has often been described as a selective actor, and several reports have linked her to major commercial films that she eventually did not do. These include predictable star vehicles such as Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar, Vijay’s Leo and Varisu, and Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru. While Leo earned over Rs 600 crore worldwide, Varisu and Sarileru Neekevvaru minted over Rs 300 crore and Rs 200 crore at the global box office, respectively.
After the success of Premam and Fidaa, Sai had the option of continuing with more conventional commercial films. Instead, she headlined Gargi, a courtroom drama centred on a serious social issue. The film was not designed as a big-ticket commercial entertainer, but it became one of her most acclaimed performances. She reportedly charged around Rs 1-2 crore for Gargi.
Playing Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana marks a major jump in Sai’s remuneration. According to reports, she is being paid around Rs 6 crore per film, taking her total earnings for the two-part epic to approximately Rs 12 crore. This reportedly makes it her biggest payday so far, reflecting the rise in her market value after the success of films like Amaran.
Before Ramayana, reports suggested Sai Pallavi’s usual film remuneration was in the Rs 2.5-3 crore range, with her fee reportedly increasing after the success of films like Amaran. Reports have claimed she earned around Rs 5 crore for Thandel before stepping into the Rs 12 crore bracket for Ramayana.
Various media reports estimate Sai Pallavi’s net worth at around Rs 45-50 crore. Her earnings reportedly come mainly from films, with fewer brand endorsements compared to many of her contemporaries. According to a report published recently, Sai owns assets worth Rs 29 crore and charges Rs 1 to 2 crore per film. She also owns cars like Audi Q3, Lancer Evo X and Suzuki Nexa. Her primary family home in Coimbatore is estimated to be valued between Rs 5-8 crore. She also owns a property in Chennai valued around Rs 5 crore.
