NEW DELHI : Prime Video has announced the premiere date of its upcoming Original series Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya. The seven-episode comedy-drama, led by Kay Kay Menon, will begin streaming worldwide on July 24.
Directed by Himank Gaur, the series has been created and executive produced by Biswapati Sarkar and Sameer Saxena under the banner of Posham Pa Pictures. It will premiere in Hindi with English subtitles across India and more than 240 countries and territories.

Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya is set inside a dysfunctional school that is struggling on nearly every front. At the centre of the story is Gyaneshwar Tripathi, played by Kay Kay Menon, a laid-back headmaster whose life takes an unexpected turn when his pursuit of a coveted government-sponsored training programme in Cambridge pushes him to confront the crumbling state of his own institution.
What begins as a personal ambition soon becomes a larger mission. Gyaneshwar gathers an unlikely group of teachers and sets out to improve the fortunes of one of the city’s most underperforming schools. Along the way, the team has to deal with unruly classrooms, shortage of resources, disinterested parents, administrative chaos and the everyday madness that comes with running a school that everyone else seems to have given up on.
The series blends humour and warmth while looking at the contradictions of India’s education system through the lens of one eccentric institution and the people who refuse to abandon it.
Kay Kay Menon Leads Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya
Kay Kay Menon headlines the series as Gyaneshwar Tripathi, an unconventional headmaster whose journey forms the emotional and comic backbone of the show. Known for his intense screen presence and ability to inhabit morally complex characters, Kay Kay will be seen in a lighter yet layered space with Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya.
The ensemble cast also features Archana Puran Singh, Naveen Kasturia, Prasanna Bisht, Abhimanyu Singh, Deven Bhojani, Ajitesh Gupta, Annapurna Soni and Prachee Shah in pivotal roles.
The show has been written by Biswapati Sarkar, Akshay Asthana, Nupur Pai, Tatsat Pandey and Meghna Srivastava.
