Lucknow: The 99th birth anniversary of Late Ram Sharan Das Gurjar, the founder State President of the Samajwadi Party, was Observed with Solemn tributes at the Party State headquarters on Vikramaditya Marg, Lucknow, on Friday. On the occasion, Samajwadi Party National President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav Paid floral tribute to his Portrait and remembered his immense contribution to the Party and the Socialist Movement.
Addressing the Gathering, Akhilesh Yadav said that Late Ram Sharan Das Gurjar dedicated his entire life to Strengthening the Socialist ideology and the Samajwadi Party. Describing him as a hardworking, honest and committed leader, he said Gurjar Stood Shoulder to Shoulder with Netaji Mulayam Singh Yadav during every Political Struggle and Played a Pivotal role in building and Expanding the Party. He added that Gurjar was deeply respected and widely admired among Party Workers.
Akhilesh Yadav further said that Ram Sharan Das Gurjar served as the State President of the Samajwadi Party for many Years. During his distinguished Public life, he held several important Positions, including Cabinet Minister in the Uttar Pradesh Government, Member of the Legislative Assembly twice, Member of the Legislative Council four times, Vice-Chairman of the State Planning Commission and Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Consumer Cooperative Federation.
Several Senior Party leaders and workers, including Members of Parliament Devesh Shakya and Ruchiveera, MLA Ajit Katheriya, former MLA Munindra Shukla and Prabhu Dayal Valmiki, Manoj Chaudhary, Rajesh Pratap Rao “Bunty”, Nahid Lari, Chaudhary Sanjeev Gurjar, Vipin Tyagi and many others, also Paid floral tributes to Late Ram Sharan Das Gurjar and recalled his Invaluable Contribution to the Party.
