State-Level Committee Meeting Chaired by Chief Secretary Concludes

A Meeting of the State-Level Committee for the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK), implemented by the Minority Welfare Department, was held under the Chairmanship of Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary S.P. Goyal. The committee reviewed the Progress of ongoing and completed Projects under the Programme and issued necessary directions to ensure their timely execution While maintaining Prescribed Quality Standards. It also considered several new Project Proposals Submitted by various departments and took important Decisions.

The Chief Secretary directed that the construction work carried out from the released funds for 30 additional Classrooms at Government Inter College, Phalawda and another Government Inter College in Meerut be evaluated by the district-level technical committee. He instructed that the concerned administrative departments Should take over these Projects based on the assessment of the completed work and the remaining work, while any unfinished work Should be completed from the respective departmental Budgets.

He further directed that Projects affected by Pending court cases or local disputes Should be resolved through coordinated efforts by the District Magistrates and the concerned departments. Wherever necessary, land exchange and other legal measures Should be undertaken in accordance with the rules So that the benefits of these Projects reach the Public without Delay.

The Chief Secretary instructed that all completed Projects be handed over Immediately to the concerned administrative departments. He also emphasized that Pending Utilization Certificates (UC) Should be obtained Promptly through coordination between Implementing agencies and District Magistrates. Stressing the importance of regular monitoring, he directed that all ongoing PMJVK Projects be completed within the Stipulated timeframe While adhering to Quality Standards. He also instructed that Projects ready for inauguration Should be Processed for formal inauguration at the Earliest.

During the meeting, the committee approved a Proposal for the construction of a Diagnostic Centre on vacant authority land opposite Shri Khatu Shyam Temple, near the Green Corridor. The Proposal will be forwarded to the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India for approval. The Diagnostic Centre will be linked with Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow Which will Provide operational Support, technical Supervision and Necessary medical Assistance.

The committee also approved 71 development Proposals received from various Districts of the State, with an estimated total cost of ₹490.67 crore. The Chief Secretary directed that all approved Proposals be forwarded to the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, without delay for further necessary Action.

Principal Secretary, Minority Welfare, Samyukta Samaddar, informed the meeting that only 32 Projects are currently Pending and are expected to be completed within the current Year. She also Stated that during the Past Year, the department submitted 89% of the required Utilization Certificates to the Government of India. In addition, 40 Projects under the PMJVK are now ready for Inauguration.

The meeting was attended by Bedi Ram, MLA from Ghazipur, Principal Secretary, Vocational Education, Dr. Hari Om Principal Secretary, AYUSH, Ranjan Kumar Secretary, Sports, Suhas L.Y. Director, Minority Welfare, Sheeldhar Singh Yadav along with senior officials from the concerned departments and representatives of Implementing Agencies.
