Sachin Malik: On the occasion of the 12th International Day of Yoga, A Grand mass Yoga session was organized at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Stadium in Mau district. The event was attended by Uttar Pradesh Minister for Energy and Urban Development, A.K. Sharma, as the Chief Guest. He inaugurated the Programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp and offering floral tributes to the Statue of Goddess Saraswati. Participants also listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi address broadcast on the occasion of International Yoga Day before enthusiastically taking Part in the collective Yoga Session.
Addressing the Gathering, A.K. Sharma said that Yoga is a Priceless heritage of India ancient Culture and Sage tradition, Which has Guided the entire world towards a healthier and more balanced way of life. He noted that, owing to the relentless efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the United Nations recognized the International Day of Yoga and today millions of People across numerous countries have embraced Yoga as an Essential Part of their Daily lives.
The Minister emphasized that Yoga is not merely a form of Physical exercise but a Powerful means of achieving harmony between the body, mind and intellect. According to him, Yoga Promotes Self-discipline, mental Peace, Positive energy and overall well-being. Referring to Maharishi Patanjali Ashtanga Yoga and the Bhagavad Gita famous verse, “Yogah Karmasu Kaushalam” (“Yoga is excellence in action”), he explained that the true essence of Yoga lies in Performing one duties with dedication, Sincerity and Efficiency.
He further observed that in today Stressful lifestyle and amid increasing health Challenges, the relevance of Yoga has Grown Significantly. Yoga not only helps Prevent diseases but also Strengthens individuals Physically, mentally and spiritually, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to society and Nation-Building.
A.K. Sharma appealed to all officials, employees, Public representatives, Students and citizens Present at the event not to limit Yoga to a Single day but to make it an inseparable Part of their daily routine. He Stated that regular Yoga Practice is the foundation for building healthy individuals, healthy families and a healthy Society
