Sachin Malik: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday released the 23rd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) from West Bengal. More than 21.7 Million farmers in Uttar Pradesh benefited from the installment, with ₹43.524 billion (₹4,352.40 crore) directly transferred to their bank accounts under the Scheme. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Joined the Programme virtually from the Commissioner Auditorium in Jhansi and expressed Gratitude to the Prime Minister through a Post on X.
Chief Minister Joins Programme Virtually from Jhansi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 23rd installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi during an event held in West Bengal. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Participated virtually from Jhansi. Member of Parliament Anurag Sharma, Minister of State Manohar Lal “Mannu Kori”, MLA Jawahar Lal Rajput, Uttar Pradesh Cow Protection Commission Chairman Shyam Bihari Gupta and other local Public representatives were also Present.
Farmers’ Prosperity is the Top Priority of the Double-Engine Government: Chief Minister
In his Post on X, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of the farmers of Uttar Pradesh for this Significant financial support. He Stated that the Prosperity and well-being of farmers remain the highest Priority of the double-engine Government under the Prime Minister leadership.
He further wrote that, in line with this commitment, the Prime Minister transferred more than ₹18,880 crore under the 23rd installment of the PM-Kisan Scheme to over 94.4 million farmers across the country. Of these, more than 21.7 Million farmers from Uttar Pradesh received ₹4,352.40 crore directly into their bank Accounts.
The Chief Minister emphasized that this financial assistance is not merely economic support but a Strong symbol of the Government unwavering commitment to the dignity, hard work and Prosperity of the Nation Farmers.
₹2,000 Credited Directly to Farmers’ Bank Accounts
Under the PM-Kisan Scheme, ₹2,000 was transferred directly into the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) System.
Eligible farmer families receive ₹6,000 annually, Paid in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme on 24 February 2019 from Gorakhpur.
Uttar Pradesh Farmers Have Received Over ₹1.03 Lakh Crore So Far
With the latest release of ₹4,352.40 crore, farmers in Uttar Pradesh have received a cumulative ₹1,03,391.24 crore under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme.
