New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET UG 2026 re-examination on June 21 as scheduled. The agency has urged students and parents not to be influenced by rumours regarding a possible postponement of the examination or by misinformation circulating on social media. Instead, candidates have been advised to rely only on official communication issued by the NTA.

“We want to reassure you that extensive arrangements are in place for a safe, secure and fair examination, in close coordination with relevant ministries, state governments and security agencies. The integrity of this process is our highest priority, and robust, multi-layered safeguards have been put in place. Any attempt at malpractice will be dealt with firmly because protecting honest, hardworking students is exactly what this is about,” the NTA said in a post on X.

The agency further stated that the decision taken on May 3 to cancel the earlier examination was made in the interest of candidates. According to the NTA, the decision was taken immediately after concerns were identified in order to safeguard the fairness and credibility of the examination process for every student.

The NTA also urged candidates to prioritise their mental well-being during this period. It noted that students experiencing stress or anxiety can reach out to the MANAS mental health helpline (14416), which remains available to provide support and assistance.

Additionally, the agency appealed to parents, teachers, and the wider community to help maintain a calm environment for students. It urged people to avoid sharing unverified information and to support candidates in approaching the examination with confidence, focus, and peace of mind.
