Lucknow: Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday launched a Sharp attack on the BJP Government, alleging deterioration in education, healthcare and law-and-order conditions in Gorakhpur, While Signalling a Stronger Political Push in the region ahead of the 2027 Assembly Elections. Addressing a Press conference in Lucknow, Yadav said the Samajwadi Party was Preparing a major conference in Gorakhpur and aimed to Politically Challenge the BJP in the Chief Minister home district. He said only A “fearless team” Could take on the ruling Party, adding that those who were afraid would eventually Leave.
Responding to Claims by Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party Chief Om Prakash Rajbhar, Yadav hinted that several Political developments and new faces would emerge at the “Right time”.The SP Chief alleged that the number of Primary Schools in Gorakhpur had declined from 2163 in 2017 to 1676 in 2026 and Claimed that around 1500 Government Jobs had been lost in the District. He further alleged that crimes against Dalits and women had increased under the BJP Government and Questioned the State of healthcare facilities, Claiming a Sharp decline in the number of Primary health centres.Yadav said the Party was Preparing A “Chargesheet” on the BJP decade-long Performance in Gorakhpur and would continue raising issues related to education, health services, employment and Public Safety. He asserted that the SP would intensify its campaign against the ruling Party in the run-up to the Next Assembly Elections.
