New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King is already one of the most talked-about Bollywood projects, and every new update around the film is adding to the excitement.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, the action entertainer has been making headlines for its massive ensemble cast and for marking Shah Rukh Khan’s first on-screen collaboration with his daughter Suhana Khan. Now, fresh reports suggest that Ranveer Singh may also be joining the film in a special cameo appearance.
According to a report by Always Bollywood, Ranveer Singh will reportedly be seen in a cameo in King. The report claims that the actor will play a mysterious character in the film. His role is said to involve handing over a confidential document to Suhana Khan’s character, which will allegedly help her survive and navigate dangerous situations in the storyline.
However, it is important to note that the makers of King have not officially confirmed Ranveer Singh’s cameo yet. The speculation gained more attention after a picture from the sets of the film went viral online. Although the people in the picture were not clearly visible, several fans guessed that it could be Ranveer Singh and Dua. This led to even more curiosity around the film’s possible surprises.
Ever since the shoot of King began, multiple behind-the-scenes videos and images have reportedly surfaced online. Following the leaks, director Siddharth Anand issued a strict request to fans. Sharing a poster on X, the filmmaker urged people not to post or circulate leaked content from the sets.
The note read, “REQUEST TO ALL THE FANS. Please do not post or circulate any leaked multimedia from the sets of KING. The team is working round the clock to ensure the best cinematic experience for everyone. Let us wait for the surprise on the big screen and for the assets to be revealed as the team of King originally intends to. Thank you for your love, support and cooperation. Shah Rukh Khan in & as KING.”
King was officially announced in November last year. The title reveal was released on November 2, on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday, and instantly created a storm online. The announcement introduced SRK in a silver-haired, intense action avatar, along with a powerful theme track and the dialogue, “Darr nahi, dehshat hoon.”
Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King is expected to feature Shah Rukh Khan as a seasoned assassin from the dark underworld, while Suhana Khan reportedly plays his protégé. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Abhay Verma and Raghav Juyal. With Ranveer Singh’s rumoured cameo now added to the buzz, expectations around King have only grown bigger.
