Uttar Pradesh On the eve of Shivratri, Mau District received a historic and spiritual gift when Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K Sharma inaugurated the newly constructed magnificent ghats of the Mau Mahadev Temple on the banks of the Tamsa River. Built at a cost of ₹938.00 lakh, this Project was completed with the CSR funds of ICICI Bank. The Ghats, adorned with red stone from Dholpur, have given the entire complex a Grand and Divine Appearance.
The Magnificent 61-foot-tall concrete Statue of Lord Shiva installed within the Ghat complex has become a special attraction and a center of faith for devotees. Crafted by Skilled artisans from Rajasthan, this statue serves as a symbol of spiritual energy for devotees coming from far and Wide.
Now Mau will be identified with Mahadev, Not the Mafia
In his address, Minister A.K Sharma said that the Place where devotees today Perform aarti and darshan with devotion was once filled with filth, chaos and fear. People were reluctant to visit this area.
He said that today Mau is overcoming the image of fear and hooliganism and establishing a new identity as a “mafia-free Mau.”
Governance is now driven by decision, not fear. Strengthening law and order and consistent development have changed the district Direction.
He firmly stated, “Now Mau will be identified with Mahadev, not the mafia.” This change has been made Possible not only by administrative will, but also by the cooperation and determination of the local people.
Mau Mahadev Dham will become the ‘Kailash of UP’
Minister Sharma announced that the goal is to make Mau Mahadev Dham the ‘Kailash’ of Uttar Pradesh. Within the next year, a beautiful and modern green park will be constructed here, making the site a major center for religious, Cultural and family Tourism.
He stated that the pace of development work in Mau will continue Unabated. The district will be elevated to new heights through road, electricity, urban development and the rejuvenation of Religious Sites.
