Rajasthan Visit of Minister of State for Divyangjan Empowerment Narendra Kashyap to Promote Self-Reliance among Persons with Disabilities.
Uttar Pradesh the Yogi Government is Continuously undertaking concrete and sensitive efforts to integrate Persons with disabilities into the mainstream of society, make them self-reliant and ensure a life of dignity. With the objective of further strengthening, modernizing and enhancing the effectiveness of facilities available for persons with disabilities in the state, successful and innovative schemes being implemented in other states are being studied and adapted to suit the conditions of Uttar Pradesh.
In this context, the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Classes Welfare and Divyangjan Empowerment, Narendra Kashyap, visited the state of Rajasthan from 28 to 30 January 2026. During the visit, he conducted an in-depth review of the schemes, institutional Mechanisms and innovations being implemented by the Rajasthan government in the fields of divyangjan empowerment, social security and welfare. At the Circuit House in Jaipur, he held discussions with senior officials at the level of Principal Secretary and Director, deliberating in detail on the functioning of schemes in Rajasthan, beneficiary selection, technical support, the Process of providing artificial limbs and assistive devices and various aspects related to rehabilitation. On this occasion, a comparative discussion was also held with the divyangjan empowerment schemes being run in Uttar Pradesh, with the aim of making them more effective.
During his stay in Jaipur, Minister Kashyap paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Vasudev Devnani. In this cordial meeting, meaningful discussions were held on the functioning of the Assembly, parliamentary traditions, issues of public interest and strengthening democratic values.
Minister Kashyap stated that the guidance of the Speaker is always a source of energy and inspiration and that his dedication to public service and democracy is exemplary for all Public representatives.
As part of the tour programme, Minister Kashyap also conducted an on-site inspection of the Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti in Jaipur. During the inspection, he reviewed the arrangements made by the institution for providing high-quality artificial limbs, assistive devices and rehabilitation services to Persons with disabilities. He said that the institution is a living example of service and dedication, which not only Provides Physical support to persons with disabilities but also inspires them towards self-confidence, self-respect and self-reliance. He expressed high appreciation for all the karmayogis engaged in the service of humanity.
Minister Narendra Kashyap stated that under the leadership of the Yogi government, numerous schemes are being implemented in Uttar Pradesh for the welfare, education, employment, skill development, rehabilitation and social security of persons with disabilities. Based on the experiences and information gained during the Rajasthan visit, a concrete action plan will be prepared to provide better facilities to persons with disabilities in the state, make schemes more inclusive and adopt technological innovations. He emphasized that the goal of the Yogi government is to ensure that every person with a disability in the state is empowered, self-reliant and able to lead a life of Dignity.
